Donna Anderson Offutt

Donna Anderson Offutt, born in Weirton, West Virginia is an engineer specialising in automation and robotic control system technology.  Offutt graduated from West Virginia University with honours, with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering.

She has developed and deployed innovative control systems and human machine interface technologies to mining, aviation, and robotics industries in the United States and Australia. She has applied algorithms for autonomous navigation of large-scale mining systems and designed visualisation systems for aircraft inspection robots and teleoperated underground mining machines.

She has a proven track record of successfully applying existing technologies to hazardous environments, allowing human operators to be relocated to a safe remote location.  She is an advocate for using technology to improve the lives of people and businesses.

Donna relocated to Queensland, Australia and founded Tolrem Automation and Controls Pty Ltd (TAC).   She is currently serving as TAC’s director and providing consulting services related to industrial automation and control for mining and mineral processing in Australia.
