Guy Djoken, MBA is Executive Director of UNESCO Center for Peace & Chairman of the U.S. Working Group for UNESCO Clubs, Centers & Associations. He is a renowned Civil Rights activist, public speaker, columnist, Poet and Author of “What a Century!”  „In April 2000, as event coordinator for the Frederick County United Way Volunteer Center, Guy Djoken successfully planned and implemented the first county wide “Youth Speak out Show Case” in commemoration of the Child abuse awareness month. Mr. Djoken is President of the Frederick County NAACP (National Association of the Advancement of Color People). On Aug 28, 2007, Guy Djoken, Executive Director of UNESCO Center for Peace, received the Citigroup Community Partner Award. The award honors community leaders for their commitment and dedication to improve the quality of live in the community.  Ever

As Chairman of the U.S. Working Group for UNESCO Clubs, Centers & Associations, Mr. Djoken successfully lead the return of the U.S. UNESCO Club movement to the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers & Associations (WFUCA) in August 2011 during the organization’s 8th World Congress and 30th Anniversary in Hanoi, Vietnam. In December 2012, he also oversaw U.S. Admission to the European and North American Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers & Associations during the organization’s annual meeting in Bucharest, Romania.

Over the last 10 years, Mr. Djoken has successfully implemented a number of programs and projects such as the first ever USA-Africa Day in the Washington, DC metro. The event was Co-chaired by Guy Djoken and the Honorable Kweisi  Mfume, the first ever First Ladies Youth Infusion Summit and the International Model United Nations Summer Camp.

Mr. Djoken global reach include  keynote addresses at the opening session of the Global Negotiation Program at the University of Tsukuba in Tsukuba, Japan  and the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Europe Union in Susa, Italy on May 2013.
