Heather Anderson

Heather Anderson’s (Caton) formal academic studies include a degree in Art Education with a focus in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work with a specialization in Creative Arts Therapy from Nazareth College in New York.

In Art Therapy and Social Work Heather has been active in the field of Brain Injury and working with people with many types of disabilities. She has and continues to serve as an advocate, speaker and instructor with published works, sharing the power of art, as vehicle for healing and discovery. She has received a number of award and recognition in her field including being the recipient of the prestigious Jamesetta Slatery Award, an award given to only one of hundreds of potential recipients based on a combination of lifelong achievements in academic performance and community service.

Since 2006 Heather became active in the mission of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, focusing on bringing educational programs to youth in need. Since then she has served as an Advisor, Senior Director, and Worldwide Director of Education for the World Genesis Foundation. In 2011 Heather was elected to lead the World Genesis Foundation as their President and CEO to expand their worldwide mission to „Leave no child without hope for the future.” Heather participates in multiple projects worldwide that benefit youth in need in cooperation with the United Nations, World Genesis Foundation and other partners.

In 2013 she became involved in the re-activation, creation and development of the U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations and has been serving as the Secretary General. Heather, along with her team, has been leading the Worldwide UNESCO Club Youth Multimedia Competition reaching hundreds of youth worldwide.
Heather works as an adjunct professor at Arizona Western College, teaching health & wellness, art and psychology. She is the President and founder of Wisdom Art LLC. This unique company brings together the Sciences, Arts and Spirituality creating unique and personal art that is inspired by the universe. Wisdom Art operates with a primary focus to raise awareness and support for educational projects that create new opportunities and hope for youth. In 2012 she created My Health in Motion, a program and website that promotes education, classes and inspiration for everyone to be an active part of their personal health of body, mind and spirit.
